Attorney General Requires Irving Oil To Issue Credit To Consumers Who Ran Out Of Oil In Barre Area
Attorney General William H. Sorrell announced today that he is requiring Irving Oil Corporation to pay $100 to each of its 2005 automatic delivery customers in the Barre area who experienced a run-out, or came close to experiencing a run-out, between October 1, 2005 and December 31, 2005. The settlement, filed today as an Assurance of Discontinuance in the Washington Superior Court, requires Irving Oil to provide restitution totaling $15,500 to 155 automatic delivery customers. Irving is also required to reimburse the Vermont Attorney General's Office the sum of $20,000 in costs. Full Press Release
