Attorneys General Join In 15th Annual National Consumer Protection Week

Looking to protect yourself from fraud, identity theft, and scams? Maybe you’re wondering about the best way to use credit, how to shop for a used car, or maximize your security online. March 3-9 is the 15th National Consumer Protection Week, and state and territorial attorneys general will once again be a part of a coordinated national education campaign that encourages consumers to take full advantage of their consumer rights and make better-informed decisions. Be an informed consumer; avoid scams and fraud.

Federal, state, and local government agencies and national consumer advocacy organizations are helping to lead the effort. Go to www.ncpw.gov, for free educational resources and to read blog posts from national consumer protection experts. Attorneys general offices will also be distributing consumer information and guidance during local events and via their websites and social media.
