The NAGTRI Career Course is designed for assistant/deputy attorneys general and non-attorneys who are clearly on a career track in an attorney general office, are in management positions, and who have been with their office for more than a few years but are not yet in the very highest levels of leadership. Topics covered in this course include practical and creative solutions to management issues, leadership essentials, employment law, issues involving the representation of state agencies, advanced negotiation techniques, and exposure to other topics and information of benefit to career track personnel. The course will also include a series of interactive management exercises. Note: this course is distinguished from the NAGTRI Moving into Management course, which is designed for personnel relatively new to management and who may or may not be on a career track, and the NAGTRI Advanced Leadership Seminar, which is designed for individuals in the highest echelon leadership positions. The Moving into Management course will be held from March 26-28 in San Antonio, TX, and the next iteration of the Advanced Leadership Seminar will be held next academic season (2012-13).

Fee Requirements
Scholarships are available for the course; they will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis. Additional registrants are welcome, but funding will not be available.
