Civil Rights

Andrea Hampton, Project Manager

The Civil Rights Project provides information and support to the states on civil rights issues. It serves as a clearinghouse for Attorneys General office staff attorneys and their related agencies, and provides liaison with federal agencies. The project attorney and coordinator manager will facilitate communication and resource sharing among the states and the federal agencies to include, among other things, articles and civil rights seminars. Previous institutional mechanisms for state/federal communication have included Memorandum of Understanding with the U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development, and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
