Jeanette Manning Committee Liaison Counsel

The Civil Rights Committee provides information and support to the states on civil rights issues. It serves as a clearinghouse for Attorneys General office staff attorneys and their related agencies, and provides liaison with federal agencies. NAAG staff facilitates communication and resource sharing among the states and the federal agencies to include, among other things, articles and civil rights seminars. Previous institutional mechanisms for state/federal communication have included Memorandum of Understanding with the U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development, and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
