Taylor Bartlett, Staff Assistant

Taylor Bartlett started her college career working at NAAG two and a half years ago, and has remained with the Association ever since. Working as a staff assistant to support the National Association of Medicaid Fraud Control Units (NAMFCU), which is housed at NAAG, Taylor is responsible for drafting and uploading press releases for the NAMFCU Web site, gathering newsletter content, arranging conference calls, organizing mailings, and performing other office duties.

“I really enjoy the people that I work with,” she said. “Especially those I correspond with at the state level.”

Taylor first heard of the Association through a temp agency at a college job fair, but after interviewing for the position she knew she made a good choice. An undergraduate at the Catholic University of America majoring in history, she said she hopes to continue her time at NAAG after graduating this May. She also sees herself working for the Smithsonian Institute of American History Museum in the future. She would especially like to work with the content and visual appearance of the war history exhibits.

Taylor commented that the workings of such a large Association have given her much more experience and knowledge than many of her classes.

“Even though I’ve been here two years I still find it amazing that I deal with almost 50 states and 2,000 people on a daily basis,” she said. “I’ve learned a lot about the professional world and about how difficult and confusing the issue of Medicaid can be.”

This Londonberry, N.H., native now resides just outside of the District in Alexandria, Va. She enjoys playing kickball on the National Mall when she isn’t balancing school work and her job responsibilities.
