The working language of the conference will be English.

Entry Requirements
You must show valid travel documents upon arrival in the United States as part of the admission procedure. The document(s) depend on the country you are arriving from, as well as your citizenship or status. Visit USA.gov for details.

Participants are advised to secure their own insurance. The organizers and the IAP are not responsible for medical, personal or travel emergencies. Please ensure your policy will cover all cancellation charges in the event of such an emergency.

Providence, Rhode Island has a humid continental climate with hot summers and no dry season. The month of August is characterized by gradually falling daily high temperatures, with daily highs decreasing from 82°F (28°C) to 78°F (25°C) over the course of the month. Daily low temperatures range from 60°F (16°C) to 66°F (19°C).

Rhode Island is in the Eastern Time Zone. Eastern Standard Time ( EST ) is 5 hours behind Greenwich Mean Time (GMT-5).

Postal services are readily available. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the conference vicinity.

Getting to Providence, Rhode Island
Rhode Island's primary airport for passengers is T. F. Green Airport in Warwick, though travellers often fly through Logan International Airport in Boston. Arrival: Because of the multiplicity of entry points to Rhode Island and the varied arrival times, conference staff will not be the airport to meet and greet participants.

It is easy to travel around the Rhode Island by bus, taxi or rented cars from several local and international car renting companies. Shuttle buses will be provided for all transfers related to the official social program.

Currency Exchange
Currency Exchange & Forex is available at most large banks. Traveler’s cheques and all major visa cards are acceptable in Rhode Island.
