Approximately twenty participants will be selected to take part in this year’s program. The 2012 class will explore, from the perspective of each fellow, strategies for battling public corruption and strengthening public integrity. The class will discuss and analyze together the issues involving public corruption. Fellows are not expected to be experts in this area or even have dealt with the issue in the course of their duties. International Fellows Program

The purpose of the NAGTRI International Fellows Program is to provide a forum for elite government attorneys from around the world to learn from each other, explore common issues together, and establish an international network to the mutual benefit of their respective offices. Rather, the topic serves as a vehicle for the class to jointly analyze an issue with fresh and unique perspectives.

Course Prerequisites

Please understand this is a challenging and demanding program. Fellows will be expected to review materials that will be distributed beforehand and conduct research into the extent of the problem in their jurisdiction. Fellows are expected to attend the entire program and participate in all of the activities. During the program, participants will collaborate on the completion of a class project. Fellows will also have the opportunity to discuss findings and conclusions at a panel discussion to be held at Columbia University Law School in New York City, NY. The ideal candidate is a mid to senior level assistant attorney general who is dedicated to public service and is among their office’s highest quality performers.

Fee Requirements

Due to the very interactive nature of the program, attendance is limited. We anticipate a large number of nominations.
