National Association of Attorneys General Holds Summer Meeting in Seattle
WHO: National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG)
WHAT: Attorneys General from 24 states and jurisdictions, their staff, federal officials, and corporate and association representatives will convene in Seattle, Wash., to discuss pressing legal and regulatory issues including consumer protection efforts, digital security and privacy, preventing online child sexual exploitation, E-health legal protections and privacy for patients, tobacco enforcement, Supreme Court cases, and strategies to address consumer complaints in the credit and collections industry.
WHEN: Monday, June 14 through Wednesday, June 16
First session begins June 14 at 12:30 p.m., Pacific Time
HIGHLIGHTS: Speakers include Washington Governor Christine Gregoire; Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Margaret Hamburg, MD; and Federal Trade Commissioner Julie Brill.
In addition, NAAG will elect its new slate of officers for 2010-2011 and host its annual awards ceremony to recognize the work of those who contribute to the Offices of the Attorneys General, including its most prestigious honor, the Kelley-Wyman Award, bestowed upon an Attorney General who has done the most to achieve the Association’s objectives
