  • NAAG Consumer Protection Spring Conference
    May 21-23, 2018
    Washington, DC

This year's Consumer Protection Spring Conference will be held in Washington, D.C. at the Renaissance Washington, D.C. Downtown Hotel and will run from May 21-23. The agenda aims to address pressing and relevant issues specific to your role in consumer protection. On Monday, May 21 from 11:45 a.m. until 7:30 p.m., the private sector is invited to attend the public portion of the conference. This will include sessions on seniors and consumer protection, independent monitors, online influencers: sponsored ads on social media, and the progression of data breach notification and data security laws. The public agenda will be posted on our website in the near future.

Government regulators are invited to attend the conference in its entirety, with the exception of the Monday morning session, which is for attorney general office representatives only. In addition, Wednesday, May 23, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., will be dedicated to hearing from federal partners who serve a role in protecting consumers. The agenda for the regulators-only portion of the conference also includes, but is not limited to, the following topics: bankruptcy, state enforcement of federal consumer protection laws, post-emergency consumer protection issues, a case study, and an ethics session. The agenda is available to regulators by emailing Noreen Cournoyer at
