NAAG Deputy Director Safely Returns from Iraq

Chris Toth, NAAG Deputy Executive Director and Director of the National Attorneys General Training and Research Institute (NAGTRI), safely returned to the United States and NAAG in May following a one-year deployment to Iraq.

Chris, a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves, served as second-in-command of a Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) in Diwaniyah Province. Chris’s PRT worked with Iraqi leaders and citizens to re-establish communities. The PRT’s efforts included mentoring and training Iraqi government officials, supporting free and fair elections, rebuilding power grids and water supplies, supporting agricultural initiatives, and building and supporting schools. Chris was awarded the Bronze Star and Combat Action Badge for his service in Iraq.
