NAAG Employee Spotlight

Jesse T. Longbrake joined NAAG in October as visiting counsel through the George Washington University (GWU) Law School’s Pathways to Practice program. Jesse graduated with honors from GWU Law School in May and recently passed the Virginia bar exam. He will be working on several projects for the National Attorneys General Training and Research Institute (NAGTRI)—a branch of NAAG—including completing a veterans affairs practitioners’ guide and conducting a 50-state survey of legislation governing drone use in law enforcement.

Prior to joining NAAG, Jesse served as a law clerk in the Bureau of Consumer Protection at the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office, as well as in the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Consumer Protection. While there, Jesse played an important part in the pursuit of a variety of state-wide and national consumer fraud cases, including drafting motions filed in a major marketing fraud case involving over $275 million in consumer injury. Jesse also currently works part-time as a project attorney with the American Bar Association’s National Inventory on the Collateral Consequence of Conviction.

Jesse earned his B.A. in political science with a minor in geography-area studies from Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio.

In his spare time, Jesse enjoys reading, playing tennis, and watching movies—good and bad—with friends.
