Cassandre Saint-Preux, Program Assistant

Cassandre Saint-Preux balances details for multiple legal trainings with ease as a program assistant for the National Attorneys General Training and Research Institute (NAGTRI), which is a branch of NAAG.

In this role, Cassandre assists with coordinating the logistics of trainings; confirms training details including travel arrangements and venue and program materials; serves as an onsite contact during trainings; and participates in the development of new programs.

Since its inception in 2007, NAGTRI continues to meet the growing demand for trainings for attorneys general staff by providing a variety of course offerings. Cassandre enjoys working behind the scenes in meeting the states’ training needs.

“By working on the NAGTRI trainings, I’m getting a better understanding of the current legal needs of attorneys general offices,” she explained.

Before joining NAAG in October 2012, Cassandre completed several internships, including one at the National Assembly on School-Based Healthcare where she redesigned a toolkit used by schools planning to launch or improve their school-based health centers. She also interned for the Alliance for Consumer Education (ACE) where she reached out to potential partnership organizations and updated ACE’s social media presence.

When not busy with work, Cassandre enjoys attending DC events, spending time with her 2-year-old nephew, eating home-cooked Haitian food, and traveling. She also has a passion for volunteering—everything from working in a garden to helping people prepare their taxes. Cassandre is a 2011 graduate of the University of Virginia and completed a double major in sociology and French.
