NAAG Winter Meeting

The NAAG Winter Meeting for Attorneys General and their staff is quickly approaching and registration is now open. It will be held Nov. 30 – Dec. 2 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. This year’s theme is “Exploring Legal Issues for the New Decade.” The closed meeting allows Attorneys General and their staff to discuss pressing state legal issues and potential solutions, as well as conduct association business.

Panel discussions will cover substantive topics such as financial fraud (from both the state and federal perspective), current civil rights initiatives, and the latest developments in combating human trafficking. In addition, Judge Susan Carbon, director of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Violence Against Women (OVW), will present on the recent collaborations between OVW and states to protect women.

Register today for this informative meeting and plan on attending the NAAG New Attorney General Orientation immediately prior, Nov. 29-30. The orientation will welcome a large, newly-elected group of Attorneys General.
