Emily Myers

As antitrust counsel, Emily assists states in their multistate activities. Those activities include litigation, competition advocacy in both federal and state courts and before federal and state administrative agencies; cooperation with the federal antitrust agencies; and providing Congress with input on antitrust-related issues of interest to attorneys general. She also attends and provides information on congressional and federal agency hearings of interest to the attorneys general. She maintains the NAAG Multistate Litigation Database, a comprehensive database of state antitrust cases since 1990.

She also focuses on attorney general powers and duties and provides assistance to attorney general offices as they consider these issues. She is editor of NAAG’s third edition book, "State Attorneys General Powers and Responsibilities" and the author of chapters on state antitrust enforcement in American Bar Association and state bar publications.

Emily received her Bachelor of Arts in history from Brown University and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was an Arthur B. Littleton Legal Writing Fellow. She worked as an antitrust attorney in private practice in Washington, D.C., until joining NAAG in 1993.
