National Association of Attorneys General
Rachel joined NAAG in January 2014 as the communications assistant. In this capacity, she works with the communications director and the web and new media staff to produce the Association's newsletters, NAAG Newsline and NAGTRI Journal, and update website content. She established the Association’s presence on Twitter and uses the tool to promote news from the attorneys general offices, live tweet at NAAG annual meetings, share updates about NAAG’s training and research branch (NAGTRI), and connect with fellow members of the attorney general community. Rachel assists with handling media inquiries and works with the public information officers in attorneys general offices and other agencies and organizations to implement public awareness campaigns.
Rachel graduated in 2012 from St. Michael’s College in Vermont with a bachelor’s degree in journalism, media studies, and digital art. She held internship positions in public relations, social media marketing, and broadcast journalism while completing her undergraduate studies. Prior to her position at NAAG, she worked in the Human Resources department at DigitasLBi, a digital advertising agency in Boston, Mass., where she leveraged her knowledge of today’s innovative digital communication and social media platforms.
