Keeping Kids Safe is Focus of NAAG Summit in Wisconsin

WHO:

National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) President and Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen will host the NAAG Presidential Initiative Summit on �America�s Promise - Keeping Our Kids Safe.� Eighteen state and territorial attorneys general are scheduled to attend. Summit speakers include MLB Hall of Famer Cal Ripken, Jr., talking about Badges for Baseball, John Ryan, CEO, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Bradley Myles, Executive Director and CEO, Polaris Project, Victor Vieth, Executive Director, National Child Protection Training Center, and Holly Austin Smith, Survivor Advocate. Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker will offer brief welcome remarks.

WHAT:

The Summit will provide a forum for attorneys general and representatives from the federal government, corporations, associations, and academia to explore new ideas and new tools for carrying out the collective responsibility to protect children. Topics to be discussed include successful strategies for addressing school violence, private/public partnerships, current issues in drug abuse, and sex trafficking of children and Internet crimes against children.
