Attorneys General in the Eastern Region to Convene on Productive Partnerships that Deliver Services and Root out Fraud
The National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) Eastern Region is holding a one-and-a-half-day meeting in Newport, R.I., focusing on partnerships to deliver cost-effective services and root out fraud. Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Kilmartin will host. He serves as chair of the NAAG Eastern Region, which is comprised of 11 states, the District of Columbia and two territories.*

Beau Biden Foundation Fellow to Work on Child Protection Issues
Shannon Signore, special assistant attorney general in the Rhode Island Attorney General’s Office, has been chosen to serve as the first Beau Biden Foundation fellow. For the next three months she will work on child protection issues in the Washington, D.C. office of the National Attorneys General Training and Research Institute (NAGTRI), a branch of the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG).

Anticorruption and Ethics Center for Government Attorneys Launched
The National Attorneys General Training and Research Institute (NAGTRI), a branch of the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG), has established the Center for Ethics and Public Integrity (CEPI). Its mission is to provide training, research, and technical assistance to government prosecutors involved in the fight against corruption, and to provide training and other resources on the ethical practice of law by government attorneys.
