AGs Support Federal Legislation to Combat Drug Abuse
NAAG is supporting federal legislation known as the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA) that would give states tools to more effectively confront the epidemic of heroin addiction and prescription painkiller abuse. A NAAG letter signed by 38 attorneys general was sent to the leadership of the U.S. Senate and House Committees on the Judiciary.

Eliminate Synthetic Drug Sales from Gas Stations and Convenience Stores
A NAAG letter signed by 43 state and territorial attorneys general was sent today to nine oil companies asking them to help eliminate any synthetic drug sales from retail locations operating under their brand names.
