Erin Schechter

As NAGTRI chief administrator, Erin oversees the daily operations of all NAGTRI trainings including logistics, faculty and monitoring the budget. Since joining NAAG in 2010, Erin has managed the planning of the NAAG annual meetings in addition to handling contract negotiations, monitoring budgets and meeting and travel logistics.

Erin has over 10 years of experience in the hospitality and meetings industry. Most of this experience was gained in hotels in Washington, D.C. Most recently Erin held the position of senior meetings and special events manager at the Ritz Carlton, Washington, D.C. Prior to this, Erin was a conference services manager/banquet manager at the Willard InterContinental Hotel. In this capacity, she worked with groups with high profile attendees such as high-level executives, delegations and heads-of-state. Her responsibilities included planning logistics for press conferences, dinners, VIP arrivals and departures, annual conferences, board meetings, hospitality and hotel accommodations. She also managed social functions such as weddings and bat mitzvahs. Erin started her hospitality career with the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill as an administrative assistant and quickly moved her way through the catering office and food and beverage outlets.

Erin has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from The College of New Jersey. She is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and Professional Convention Management Association, through which she became a certified meeting professional (CMP).
