Judy McKee is NAGTRI deputy director, a position she assumed when NAGTRI was formed in 2008. In that capacity, she oversees the more than 95 training programs a year that NAGTRI conducts. She either facilitates the planning for new programs or designs the agendas and curricula and/or trainings with input from experienced assistant and deputy attorneys general throughout the country. She also acts as an instructor at numerous NAGTRI trainings.
Judy received her JD degree, magna cum laude, from Washburn University in Topeka, Kan., a master’s degree in English from Brown University, Providence, R.I., and a BA degree in English from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Penn. Prior to attending law school, she was a high school English and political science teacher. She has practiced law in Kansas and Virginia and taught law courses at the University of Maryland overseas and at James Madison University. Since being employed at NAAG, she has acted in a number of capacities, including editing the National Environmental Law Journal and acting as counsel for the End of Life Project, NAAG’s Substance Abuse Committee, and its Human Trafficking Committee.
