PODCAST: The Adam Walsh Act: Possibilities and Challenges for State Management of Sex Offenders

With the passage of the Adam Walsh Act, Attorneys General will be faced with a number of challenges as they examine and potentially restructure the sex offender management systems in their respective jurisdictions. This panel provided Attorneys General with an overview of the Act and information related to some of the challenges which jurisdictions will face as they work to implement the provisions of this historic Act. The panel features discussions on a variety of resources available to improve sex offender management, including the effective tracking of interstate movement of offenders and apprehension of those offenders absconding from their duty to register.
