Advanced Investigative Techniques
The NAGTRI Advanced Investigative Techniques course will cover the effective use of both practical and innovative pre-operational, operational, and post-operational investigative tools, to include trash pulls, deconfliction, phone bugs, phone trace and pings, wires, warrants and subpoenas, pole cameras, charging documents, the use of informants, interviews, seizures of computers, notebooks, and discovery. Experts will also discuss advanced cell phone exploitation and the use of open source intelligence. Presentations will also include the effective use of RICO investigations against street gangs and organized crime. This course is open to both prosecutors and investigators involved in relevant investigations or those who expect to be in the future.
There is scholarship assistance available for each student. Students will be funded for one round-trip coach air or train fare from their home city to Indianapolis. The scholarship will also cover participantsí hotel stay, meals at the per diem rate, and transportation from the airport to the hotel. NAGTRI does not reimburse for transportation to the airport from a participantís home or office, parking at a participantís home airport, or airline baggage fees.
