NAAG Donation to Japan Relief Fund
On March 31, the NAAG Mission Foundation made a $25,000 donation in the name of the Japan Broadcasting Corporation (JBC) to the American Red Cross for disaster relief in Japan. The JBC in Washington, D.C. has rented office space for six years from the Mission Foundation.
“We wanted to convey our sympathy for the recent disaster and offer support for the ongoing needs of the Japanese people,” said Vermont Attorney General William H. Sorrell, who is chair of the Mission Foundation. He was joined during the check presentation ceremony by NAAG Vice President and Maryland Attorney General Doug Gansler, Jun Takao, JBC bureau chief in Washington, D.C., and Michael Brown, vice president of Corporate and Foundation Partnerships for the American Red Cross.
