Attorneys General and AG Staff: Registration is Open for NAAG Fall Meeting

Fort Lauderdale, Fla., is the warm-weather destination for the New AG Orientation and NAAG Fall Meeting, Dec. 1 – 3, 2014. This is the only NAAG annual meeting held solely for attorneys general, AG staff and invited speakers.

The Nov. 4 elections will bring at least 13 new state and territorial attorneys general into office. As a result, a new AG orientation is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 1 and the early morning of Tuesday, Dec. 2.

The Fall Meeting, Dec. 2 -3, will cover strategies for legal issues including crisis management, digital privacy, and state government interests in international treaties, as well as offer a parallel proceedings session and NAAG committee updates.

Our host, Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi and the NAAG Meeting Planning Committee are working on an agenda that already includes confirmed speakers Edith Ramirez, Federal Trade Commission chairwoman and Gina McCarthy, Environmental Protection Agency administrator. Noted Internet safety and cyber privacy expert, Frank Abagnale, will also present on fraud prevention tactics.

The meeting concludes Wednesday night with a dinner honoring the retiring attorneys general.
