Save the Date for Presidential Initiative Summit

It has been my privilege to lead our Association in a Presidential Initiative ? ?The Year of the Child: Protecting and Empowering Our Next Generation,? where we continue to focus our collective efforts on children and technology. While the Internet has provided our children with a greater knowledge of the world in which they live, it has also exposed them to danger from individuals who would hurt them. Our goal has been to better educate, engage and empower our children and their parents in the safe use of online technology.

I am pleased to announce that the focal point of this Initiative will take place in Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love, on May 12-13, 2009, where my colleagues and I will hold a summit with organizations and individuals with like goals to discuss the issues related to our children in today?s technological world. Please mark your calendars for May 12-13, 2009 and join me for this historic meeting.
