This 1.5 day course will provide attendees with an overview of agency representation. Topics will include: nuts and bolts of agency representation; who is the client (including opinion related issues); state agencies and parallel proceedings; when agencies sue each other: handling conflicts; ethics: establishing and enforcing guidelines for public employees; public record requests v discovery; dealing with litigation holds and e-discovery; and client counseling fundamentals. In addition to lectures presented by attorneys from the AG community, the program will include several panel discussions with practical exercises and scenarios.

Fee Requirements
Scholarships are available for the course; they will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis. Additional registrants are welcome, but funding will not be available.
