No same-sex marriage, Voting Rights Act, or health care law this Term; just a steady diet of civil procedure, statutory construction, and habeas corpus. As is often the case, however, the conventional wisdom captures part of the truth but misses deeper insights.

North American Conference Puts Spotlight on Combating Transnational Crime

Delegates from around North America and the Caribbean met in Providence, R.I., Aug. 7-9, to discuss ways to combat human trafficking, intellectual property theft, cybercrime, and weapons and drug trafficking. The meeting was hosted by the National Attorneys General Training and Research Institute (NAGTRI) and in partnership with the International Association of Prosecutors.
