Wyoming’s Attorney General Confirmed as Federal Judge

Attorney General Gregory Phillips

The U.S. Senate voted unanimously July 8 to confirm Wyoming Attorney General Gregory Phillips as a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit. This Circuit covers appellate cases from Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico and parts of Oklahoma, Utah and Wyoming.

Wyoming is one of five states in which the governor appoints the attorney general. At press time, Gov. Matt Mead had not yet announced who would replace Phillips.
