If suspected financial exploitation is believed to have occurred, or is occurring the legislation allows for law enforcement and or the Office of the Attorney General to request the hold and the financial instigation shall comply. Further, law enforcement and/or the Office of Attorney General may request records from the financial institution not to exceed 60 days prior to and after the suspected financial exploitation.
