SUMMARY:Digital Evidence Essentials for Assistant Attorneys General
DESCRIPTION:This 1.5‑day training provides Assistant Attorneys General with a practical\, working foundation for managing digital evidence. Designed primarily for AAGs handling criminal matters—while offering valuable takeaways for civil practitioners—the program covers essential legal and technical frameworks\, including the Fourth Amendment\, the Electronic Communications Privacy Act\, core principles of digital forensics\, effective collaboration with forensic examiners\, interpreting mobile device extraction data\, and presenting technical evidence clearly in court. \nThe training is ideally suited for early‑to-mid‑career AAGs seeking a strong foundation in digital evidence\, while still offering meaningful value to senior AAGs/prosecutors who want to refresh or expand their skills. Participants will leave with strengthened confidence and competence in navigating today’s digital investigative challenges. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis training is a closed session for attorneys general and attorney general office staff only. \n\n\nScholarship Nominations – Open January 12\nNominations are due January 23\, 2026\nNAAG will provide a limited number of scholarships to selected participants.
