The New Hampshire Department of Justice seeks a full-time attorney for
a dedicated Discovery Coordinator position in the Civil Law Bureau. The
Bureau represents the state, its agencies, and employees before state and
federal trial and appellate courts and administrative bodies in a wide variety of
cases involving complex and novel legal issues. The Discovery Coordinator
will liaise with client agencies to collect and process paper and e-discovery;
draft and respond to discovery requests; guide Bureau personnel to ensure
compliance with discovery obligations; collaborate with outside vendors to
achieve discovery-related efficiencies; and develop and implement policies
and procedures governing complex discovery, including e-discovery.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned litigation attorney no
longer interested in trying cases. In order to effectively manage discovery
activities bureau-wide, it is anticipated that the Discovery Coordinator would
not carry an active litigation caseload of his or her own.
Qualifications
Candidates must be admitted to the NH Bar (or eligible for admission by waiver). The ideal candidate will have at least three years’ litigation experience, which includes
collecting and coordinating discovery and facility using e-discovery platforms
such as Relativity, Everlaw, or their equivalents.
Application Process
Please send a cover letter and CV to Sean Gill, Chief of Staff, NH Department of Justice, 1 Granite Place South, Concord, NH 03301 or email employment@doj.nh.gov.
