The New Hampshire Department of Justice has full-time attorney positions available in the Criminal Justice Bureau. We are seeking highly motivated candidates with at least two years of prosecutorial experience. Candidates must be willing to travel and work independently, but within the structure of a collaborative legal team.
The duties of the Criminal Justice Bureau include the investigation and prosecution of significant criminal cases throughout the State. The Criminal Justice Bureau attorneys prosecute crimes including murder and represent the State on all criminal appeals in the New Hampshire Supreme Court and the federal courts. In addition, the Criminal Justice Bureau conducts investigations and initiates prosecutions in cases involving drug trafficking, financial crime, public integrity crime, and Medicaid fraud. The Criminal Justice Bureau attorneys also assist in investigations involving the
use of deadly force by police officers in the line of duty.
The candidate must have a Juris Doctor degree from a recognized law school and be a member in good standing of the New Hampshire Bar. The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. An excellent benefit package is also included.
