The Public Safety and Infrastructure Bureau seeks a motivated, full-time attorney to join its ranks. The Bureau provides highly specialized legal services to the Departments of Safety, Transportation, and Administrative Services (Division of Public Works) to ensure their compliance with state and federal law; defends those Departments in state and federal civil litigation on matters ranging from constitutional challenges to agency/employee conduct, to complex construction
litigation; and drafts contracts, leases, land use agreements, procurement and transactional documents for client agencies.
The ideal candidate is a member of (or eligible to waive into) the New Hampshire Bar who possesses excellent analytical and writing skills and experience in one or more of the following fields: real estate, land use, eminent domain law, civil litigation, and transactional law. Prior federal or state court clerkship experience is preferred. A genuine commitment to public service, collegial approach, initiative and strong
work ethics are essential.
