  • Southern Region Meeting
    May 21-22, 2019
    Little Rock, Ark.

The NAAG Southern Region, chaired by Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge, will be meeting May 21-22 in Little Rock, Ark., with an agenda focused on privacy and cybersecurity. Our information economy depends on data collection to provide valuable services to consumers and valuable information to government and businesses. The attorneys general are responsible for both safeguarding the privacy rights of individual consumers and protecting states and their citizens from cyber threats. The constantly evolving nature of security risks and the increased aggregation and use of consumer data present challenges for attorneys general on both fronts. We will hear from privacy experts at some of the world’s largest companies, experts from the data security industry, and federal and state law enforcement about the complex and critical issues related to cybersecurity and individual privacy.
