MEDIA ADVISORY: Summer Meeting Planned for Attorneys General

WHO:

The National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) will hold its Summer Meeting in Boston, Mass. Thirty-six state and territorial attorneys general, key staff, and federal government, corporate and association representatives will convene to discuss a variety of legal issues.

WHAT:

Session topics include a discussion on U.S. Supreme Court decisions and cases, insights on the Boston bombing and response, intellectual property crimes online, the Communications Decency Act’s Safe Harbor provision, tobacco policy and enforcement, and veterans’ issues.

NAAG will elect its new slate of officers for 2013-2014 and host its annual awards ceremony to recognize the work of those who contribute to the Office of the Attorney General and the Association. This includes NAAG’s most prestigious honor, the Kelley-Wyman Award, bestowed each year upon an attorney general who has done the most to achieve the Association’s objectives.
