National Association of Attorneys General Launches Podcast Series

Washington, D.C. --- The National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) has launched a biweekly podcast series, The People’s Lawyer, to explore the role of state and territory attorneys general as chief legal officers and their work protecting the rule of law and the U.S. Constitution.
The podcast was launched in coordination with NAAG President and Montana Attorney General Tim Fox’s Presidential Initiative, “Transformational Leadership and Civility.” The first episode, “Leadership and Civility in Uncertain Times,” features NAAG Chief Communications Officer interviewing Attorney General Fox on his initiative.
“As a nonpartisan national forum, NAAG promotes the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and insights on issues of importance to the 56 state and territory attorneys general,” said NAAG Executive Director Chris Toth. “This new podcast series will further the ongoing dialogue among attorneys general and help educate Americans about how attorneys general serve their states and territories.”
In future episodes, Attorney General Tim Fox will interview other attorneys general on legal matters impacting their states and how attorneys general collaborate across party lines to tackle important issues.
“Attorneys general continue to be great examples of the positive political dialogue our nation needs today, and will continue to need, in the months ahead,” Attorney General Fox said. “The challenge we all face is to act civilly with one another while continuing to collaborate in a bipartisan manner in order to improve the lives of Americans across the country. Now is the time for public officials to commit to respectfully and thoughtfully working together on the many issues confronting our states and our nation,” Fox added.
The podcast will also address topics such as consumer protection, constitutional issues, elder abuse, human trafficking, and the importance of balancing public safety while preserving civil rights. The People’s Lawyer is available through Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Podbean.
