Leah Nowak joined NAAG as an American Bar Association Janet D. Steiger Fellowship law clerk for summer 2022. Leah completed her first-year J.D. coursework at the University of Minnesota Law School and plans to transfer to Georgetown University Law Center beginning fall 2022. Before matriculating to law school, Leah worked for three years as a Mergers & Acquisitions clearance coordinator with Kirkland & Ellis LLP’s Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) Antitrust team. During her time at Kirkland, Leah conducted analysis for and assisted in filing HSR premerger notification report forms for private equity firms and companies across the public and private sectors encompassing numerous industries.

Leah earned her B.S. in management, cum laude, with concentrations in economics and managing for social impact and a minor in international studies from Boston College Wallace E. Carroll School of Management in 2018. Leah calls the greater Chicago area home after growing up in western Virginia and the suburbs of Atlanta. Leah loves to read and play tennis with family and friends. She also has an avid interest in sustainable farming and spent May 2021 working on an organic sheep farm in Hudson Valley NY.
