The National Attorneys General Training & Research Institute
International Fellows Newsletter
The National Attorneys General Training & Research Institute (NAGTRI) was created in 2007 and serves as the training and research arm of the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG). NAGTRI’s mission is to provide high-quality, non-partisan, and innovative training, research, and other developmental resources to support state and territory attorneys general offices.
Since 2011, the NAGTRI International Fellows Program (IF, IF program, or program) has provided a forum for elite government attorneys from around the world to learn from each other, explore common issues, and establish an international network to the mutual benefit of their respective offices.
Regrettably, due to the ongoing international health crisis amid the COVID-19 pandemic, NAGTRI made the difficult decision to postpone the 2020 IF program until next year. This decision came after careful consideration given the current global environment and deepening crisis.
Amid the global coronavirus pandemic, NAGTRI hopes that you, your family, and friends are in good health and spirits. During very unsettling times, we have the opportunity to focus on what is most important in life: our health, safety, and loved ones.
In the last decade we have hosted hundreds of Fellows from over 60 countries. What a monumental feat to accomplish this, thanks to the NAGTRI team who works tirelessly every year to make the program a success for Fellows.
NAGTRI is excited to report that this year marks the International Fellows program's 10th anniversary, a huge milestone given how much the program has evolved.
This year's class was slated to attend in June 2020 but, given the changed circumstances resulting from COVID-19, they instead will participate in 2021.
