United States Supreme Court decisions directly affect attorney general offices’ ability to enforce state laws and defend government officials’ conduct. In this program, NAAG’s Center for Supreme Court Advocacy will host two of the nation’s leading U.S. Supreme Court practitioners to discuss the Supreme Court’s recently completed 2021 Term.

Nicole Saharsky co-heads Mayer Brown’s Supreme Court & Appellate Practice. She previously served for ten years as an assistant to the solicitor general in the U.S. Department of Justice, where she was responsible for briefing and arguing cases in the U.S. Supreme Court. She has argued 30 cases before the Court. Roman Martinez is a member of Latham & Watkins’ Supreme Court & Appellate Practice, he focuses primarily on appeals in the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Courts of Appeals, and state appellate courts. He has personally argued 11 cases in the Supreme Court.
