This annual two-day seminar gives attendees information and insights on how to effectively practice in the United States Supreme Court. The training begins at the Court with observation of oral arguments. Panels of experienced Supreme Court practitioners will then address oral argument, preparing petitions for writs of certiorari and oppositions thereto, writing merits briefs, and the amicus brief process.
This seminar is for attorneys general and attorney general staff only.

U.S. Supreme Court Bar Member Information & Courtroom Seating Arrangements
The registration process will require U.S. Supreme Court bar members to provide their legal name, including middle initial, and birth date, as well as SCOTUS bar number, if available. Please note that registrants are not required to be a U.S. Supreme Court bar member to attend the seminar.
If selected for this program, a NAAG representative will reach out to you to collect this information. It is important that you provide it, when requested, to ensure compliance with this requirement.
Due to bar section seating limitations in the Court, a portion of the eligible Supreme Court bar members will be seated in the bar section; all others will be seated in the area located immediately behind the bar section. The bar section seats will be assigned in order of online registration information.
