December 8-9, 2021

The increased frequency and scale of ransomware and other malware attacks has raised serious concerns about the cyber vulnerabilities of our nation’s public and private sector networks, particularly critical infrastructure. The need for a whole-of-government approach to enhancing cybersecurity and combatting criminal cyberactivity has never been more critical.

The seminar will bring together attorney general staff with cybersecurity experts and other stakeholders for candid discussions around public and private sector network security, including state critical assets, common themes and trends in recent ransomware and other malware attacks, and looming cyberthreats. Discussions will also highlight tools attorneys general can use to enhance public and private sector cybersecurity, and considerations for hardening attorney general office systems.

The seminar will take place on December 8-9, 2021. The first day of the program will run from 12:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET and the second day will run from 9:00 a.m. – 3:15 p.m. ET.

The seminar will be hosted in accordance with the latest government mandates and health organization guidance. More specific information related to this seminar will be outlined in an email to attendees in November/December 2021. In the meantime, please review the latest guidance from the District of Columbia.
