

Over the last few years, the proliferation of generative AI tools and “nudify” applications has transformed the law enforcement landscape for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and synthetic intimate depictions. In this updated briefing, Ross Goldman from the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) will provide an actionable overview of the nature of the problem and how it manifests, why it is so harmful, how to prosecute offenses involving AI-generated CSAM, emerging enforcement priorities, and DOJ resources available to state and local authorities.
