Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Assistant Attorney General and Deputy Director of the Affirmative Civil Enforcement
Practice Group, assists the Section Chief in the Labor Enforcement section in assigning and supervising the work of other
deputies in the Section. The Labor Enforcement Section assists with investigations and handles the Office’s litigation enforcing
workplace protections on behalf of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development. The Section’s work includes assisting
with strategic investigations and handling litigation in the Office of Administrative Law and Superior Court enforcing New
Jersey laws prohibiting worker misclassification, child labor, wage theft, and failure to pay prevailing wages, among other
matters. The Assistant Section chief will supervise and work with the Section Chief in managing the deputies; oversee and
manage the section’s many litigations; plan and manage the operations of the Section; evaluate the performance of and conduct
case file reviews with deputies in the Section; manage and participate in multistate investigations and litigation; and perform
other duties as required.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited law school with a Juris Doctor. Admission to practice as an Attorney-at-Law in
the State of New Jersey required.
EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years of experience as a practicing attorney, one (1) year of which shall have been in a supervisory
capacity.
