Case Description
Pennsylvania Attorney General entered into consent decree with the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and UPMC Health Systems. The merger agreement between the Children’s Hospital and UPMC ensures that the Children’s Hospital and UPMC will offer medically necessary services to children regardless of their ability to pay or possession of a health plan and creates a legal process for the hospital to negotiate service contracts with health plans in the region.
