Case Description
The State of Texas and Department of Justice filed joint suit to enjoin the acquisition by Aetna of Prudential which the state and DOJ alleged would substantially lessen competition for the development, marketing and sale of HMO and HMO-based POS health plans in the Houston and Dallas Areas. Aetna agreed to certain geographic market divestitures and paid the state $25,000 in attorneys fees.
