Attorneys General Signing Letter at 2019 Capital Forum
Attorneys General Yost of Ohio andย Nesselย of Michigan are joined by fellow attorneys general as they sign NAAGโ€™s endorsement of the FIGHT Act.ย 

The nationโ€™s attorneys general determine NAAGโ€™s legislative agenda through an endorsementย letter process.ย ย 

ย Through NAAG endorsement letters, attorneys general:ย 

  • Provide invaluable insight to the federal government.ย ย 
  • Voice their support or dissent for federal legislation and policy.ย ย 
  • Communicate recommendations or requests to industry groups or companies.ย 

For NAAG to endorse a legislative initiative or a specific piece of legislation, aย bipartisan group of at least 36 attorneys general must submit their approval.ย While NAAG is a nonpartisan organization, it engages in policy advocacy only when an issue has bipartisan support fromย a majority ofย attorneys general.ย
