Angela Behrens is an Assistant Attorney General at the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office. She joined the office in 2007 and is currently the manager of its Administrative Law Division. During her career, she has represented a variety of agencies in litigation and on appeal, with a particular focus on defending section 1983 claims. She has additionally served as an adjunct professor, teaching legal writing at the University of Minnesota Law School from 2008 to 2018 and teaching a legal reasoning workshop at the William Mitchell College of Law from 2009 to 2010. Before joining the Attorney General’s Office, she clerked at the Minnesota Court of Appeals. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School and the University of Minnesota.
