Candice M. Deisher is a Senior Assistant Attorney General and supervising attorney in the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU) of the Virginia Attorney General’s Office. She has worked in the Civil Litigation section of the MFCU since 2009. She exclusively handles False Claims Act matters related to healthcare fraud that impact the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Medicaid program. Candice regularly leads and participates in local and national healthcare fraud investigations as well as litigation related to cases that do not settle. She serves on national investigative and settlement teams through the National Association of Medicaid Fraud Control Units (NAMFCU). Candice is currently the Co-Chair of the NAMFCU Global Case Committee which manages all the global cases staffed through NAMFCU. She is also an active member of the Health Law Section of the ABA and is currently serving as a Vice Chair on the Interest Group Executive Leadership Team.
