Faisal Sheikh is the NAAG Center on Cyber and Technology director. He joined NAAG in July 2019 as a NAGTRI program counsel. Prior to that he served as director of network advancement at the American Constitution Society working on ACS’s State Attorneys General Project. Before joining ACS, Faisal was the associate director of the National State Attorneys General Program at Columbia Law School, working on a host of policy issues ranging from the role of state attorneys general in serving vulnerable communities to state regulations and enforcement of the nonprofit sector. He previously was an assistant attorney general with the New York Attorney General’s Office, representing the state in lawsuits in state and federal courts. He has also worked in a municipal government role as an assistant corporation counsel for the City of Yonkers and in the Pension Benefits Unit of South Brooklyn Legal Services.
Faisal received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and his B.A. in history from Trinity College. In law school, he was a recipient of the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award.
