Jeff Fisher is a Deputy Attorney General Supervisor for the State of California. He has been practicing for over 15 years. A 2009 summa cum laude graduate from Baylor University School of Law, Jeff’s practice focus has been in civil litigation. He started his legal career as a law clerk for U.S. District Judge James O. Browning in the District of New Mexico. He then spent several years as a patent litigator, first at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan and then at Dechert. He joined the California Attorney General’s Office in early 2017, working in the Correctional Law Section, which handles civil actions brought by or on behalf of inmates. He quickly moved from handling pro se inmate actions to working on more complex and high stakes matters, such as class actions and appeals. Jeff became a supervisor in 2021. He now manages a team of deputies who handle matters of various levels of complexity and also leads teams litigating several putative class actions and complex consolidated matters.
